Volunteering to Keep an Icon Clean and Green

I have had the opportunity to do lots of volunteer work over the years in cities across the U.S. – gleaning food for distribution to families in need, weeding community gardens, painting houses for the elderly and low income, being a classroom mentor, as well as serving on boards of nonprofit organizations. Every activity has been a great personal experience that helped shape my leadership skills, allowed me to think about social problems in new ways, and create perspective on what's important in life.more

Applied Materials Report Sunny Q3 Earnings

During yesterday’s earnings call Applied Materials CEO Mike Splinter and CFO George Davis discussed the company’s third quarter results. Overall the company exceeded its third quarter guidance driven by strong results in our semiconductor, display and crystalline silicon solar businesses.

A look at our Solar Business

Net sales for the Energy and Environmental Solutions (EES) segment was $387 million dollars, an increase of 133% and was the third highest booking quarter for EES despite the absence of any thin film orders.more
