George Davis Honored at 2011 CFO of the Year Awards

On Thursday, Applied Materials Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer George Davis was named CFO of the Year at the San Jose/Silicon Valley Business Journal’s annual CFO of the Year Awards celebrating the success of the valley’s top finance chiefs .  Davis was recognized in the category for companies over $500M in revenue, as a hands-on CFO whose financial leadership helped Applied successfully weather the 2008-09 economic crisis by using it as an opportunity to make the company stronger.
