He has lived, breathed and championed the solar industry for more than 35 years. As President of Applied Solar, Charlie - also known as ‘Doctor Solar’ - has been dedicated to making solar photovoltaics a meaningful part of the world’s clean energy supply by making the technology scalable and low cost. Much of his passion comes from the drive to bring power to people living in rural villages without access to the quality of life enabled by electricity.
